Political Mamí 
It is a definate plus. At home I am speaking both English and Spanish. Since Dad was born in Puerto Rico but raised for about ten years in the states, he tends to speak more Spanish to her. We can tell that what we are doing is working because we can tell her to do things in both languages and she understands. She is also saying words in English And Spanish. Ultimately, If we happen to stay in Puerto Rico, she will be a better Spanish speaker than her momma! We hope that she can learn at least another language. I also saw a TED video by a woman who studied babies and languages.
